Ice Abstracts
Visual abstracts with naturally occurring glacier ice presented out of context in the Icelandic Nature.
In Iceland, I like to get Close up and personal with the glacier ice close to the end of it's current form from when it fell as snow 800 - 1500 years ago (in the days of Vikings old), to deeper and deeper compression as ice. Add a few more centuries of compression and movement before being calved into a glacier lagoon . After just a few weeks it has melted small enough to go out into the Atlantic Ocean where is reached the end f it's current form while sitting, waiting on the black sand beach of Breiðamerkursandur, South East Iceland.
This is where I come in - on a rainy day with my my camera and lens to steal these ancient textures before they are gone forever.
These natural, abstract shapes and textures make a pleasant print for any room or as a background for product photography. These could work nicely as a collection of 3 and could also be cropped to a panorama ratio for stunning wall art. Let an abstract view of Icelandic Nature photography line your study walls.
