Glacier Ice Beach
This Iceland landscape photography collection captures the 1000 year old ice in it's final days in solid form. From the largest glacier ice cap in Europe to the North Atlantic ocean via the glacier lagoon at Jökulsarlon is a very slow journey with an inevitable end... a slow death on the Glacier Ice Beach.
It is the heavy snow after heavy snow on the glaciers that compress the ice into a form as hard as steel, but it is the interaction of the glacier ice with the Ocean that creates these crystal ice forms on the beach.
The area also hosts some ferocious storms which scallop the large icebergs and push the floating bergs high up on the beach where they can be buried by black sand. The wind storms also kick up a lot of volcanic ash which can create deep red sunrises and sunsets.
Here is a chance to decorate your home with these unique crystal ice photographs. Prints, downloads or collectables are all highest quality with satisfaction guaranteed.
